Help For Survivalists & Preppers
If you are a survivalist or a prepper (possibly you are both) then you likely spend many, many hours on the Internet researching. At one point or another you likely came across some information about communications for survivalists or preppers. Or did you? If you haven't given any thought to radio communications then maybe it is high time that you did. Think of grabbing the bug out bag and taking off only to lose cell phone service and Internet access. With out these two forms of communications the average survivalist or prepper is dead in the water. Some will have already made an effort to maintain communication through the use of a CB radio. But CB radios simply cannot match the performance of shortwave and amateur radio (ham radio) systems. So what we have done is to find some web sites that will help you setup an effective communications system.
One of the best web sites we have found for radio communications is located at RadioSurvivalist.com. On this particular site you will find information about the radios themselves, the antennas needed, licensing issues, even how to hide that antennas from prying eyes. They go into pretty good detail on several brands of ham radios currently on the market.
